The Sloane Micro-Hoe was designed to raise the epithelial flap's precut border. It has a delicate 2mm broad semi-circular tip with a bevelled edge to help the surgeon identify and raise the epithelial flap's border. After the precut flap margin has been removed, the Sloane Epi-Peeler is used to peel back the remaining core section of the epithelial flap. Its semi-sharp 1x5mm spatula effectively undermines and folds back the flap.
