The Botvin Iris Forceps has many benefits for surgery. During peripheral iridectomy and other procedures, it is primarily used to manipulate tissues and ophthalmic sutures in an atraumatic manner.

The device has two bayonet-shaped jaws that provide for the best possible iris inspection for this reason. Furthermore, there are two distinct layouts for the jaws. The 0.12MM 1 x 2 tooth pattern works best for removing tissues that are clutching and foreign objects. Otherwise, the serrated design enables accurate guidance of 4-0 silk or 10-0 polypropylene sutures.

It is possible to smoothly close the tips against one another because to the ergonomic design.
