Its main purpose is to mark the corneal epithelium atraumatically so that precise tissue dissection is possible.
The instrument has a circle marker for this purpose, which is perfect for marking the location of the corneal incision. To suit a range of ocular anatomies, the marker diameter also varies from 3.0 to 9.0 mm.
